Pastor’s Corner – July 16, 2023

Isaiah
55:10 For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

55:11 So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

What a wonderful blessing it is to know that God’s word gives life to us. It feeds our soul whenever we gather to hear and listen to scriptures that bear witness to God’s presence among us in times of need. The prophet reminds exiled people of his time of God’s assurance to never give up hope. What words are you hearing today? What words are you looking for to give you the strength you need today? What words do you give to give hope to someone you love or care? This coming Sunday, I invite you to listen and hold each other to hear and give words that comes from God to hope and life we need today. Amen.
